San Diego vs. Colorado Tap Takeover Wednesday January 16th!
Written by JamesWhen it comes to the geography of craft beer in the United States, not all regions are created equal. For many reasons, the brewing revolution has taken off in some areas more than others. We here in San Diego know first hand the wonderful flavors and amazing experiences that come from a bourgeoning local craft beer scene. While the case can certainly be made that ours is the greatest beer city on the planet, we are not the only ones in contention. On Jaunary 16th, we will feature the great state of Colorado in our San Diego vs. Colorado event. All of our 50 taps and casks will be dedicated to rare and special beers from San Diego County and Colorado. We will also be preparing special delicious menu items that will pay homage to both regions. Please come by and enjoy the quality and variation that the craft revolution has to offer.

Full line of Societe Brewing Beers at Sublime Ale House!
Written by JamesThere has been a buzz permeating the craft beer community in San Diego as of late. The opening of Societe Brewing Company will further solidify the county's hold on the title of craft beer capital of the universe. With Doug Constantiner and Travis Smith at the helm, Societe is already steeped in the brewing pedigree that will ensure high quality beer production for years to come. Travis began foray into the industry began, like many, making beer at home. His passion for the craft led him to leave his job and begin brewing under the legendary Vinnie Cilurzo at Russian River. His everyday activities included producing world-famous beers like Pliny the Elder, Temptation, and Supplication. His journey continued when he decided to relocate back to Southern California and began working at The Bruery in Placentia. It was there that he began brewing with Doug, who had recently completed training at the Siebel Institute of brewing and a stint as an intern at Oggi’s after he left the financial industry to pursue his dream of being a professional brewer. Their shared vision and commitment to excellence made it an easy decision to open their own brewery where they could fully display their exceptional talents. Fans of sour beer will be excited to know that Societe will be producing a full range of barrel aged sours. While they wont be ready for some due to the extensive length of the souring process, rest assured that the brewers already have a wonderful lineup of Belgian inspired and west coast style beers. They include The Pupil, a Nelson and Citra hopped IPA, The Apprentice, an assertively hoppy double IPA, The Harlot, a bone-dry Belgian blonde, and the Widow, a fresh take on the traditional Belgian strong dark ale style. All of these beers will be featured on draft tomorrow, June 1st, at Sublime Ale House. Please join us and get the full experience of Societe Brewing Company. Let us celebrate and welcome another world-class brewery to San Diego County.
